Ma was found guilty on two charges of assault in Manhattan Supreme Court.
The rapper, wiped away tears as the verdict was read, then "wailed loudly and sobbed openly" as she left the courtroom in handcuffs, according to MTV.
Makeda Barnes Joseph who was shot in the abdomen, testified that she underwent three surgeries during a three-week hospital stay.
Sentencing for the case is scheduled for April 22.
